Funds Donated to the Clackamas SWAT Medics Association
The Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation donated $5,000 to the Clackamas SWAT Medics Association in March 2024. At the time of donation, the Clackamas SWAT Medics Association had 5 paramedics on the team that were solely volunteer. The medics are closely embedded in the team, wearing armor, and are able to provide life-saving care. Their primary role is to care for law enforcement officers on the team, but they are also able to care for the citizens, as needed. Each volunteer incurs start-up costs, out of their own pocket, as well as ongoing expenses. Funds donated from the Foundation will assist those currently part of the SWAT Medics Association as well as new members that may join.
