Clackamas Fire District #1 has a Community Paramedic Program that helps patients with community services they need. They help with things such as working with a patient’s insurance to get medical supplies covered, or connect an individual with a primary care provider, rather than having to call 9-1-1 for non-emergency medical needs. They also work with the County on Project Hope, which helps with alcohol and drug misuse. The Foundation was able to gift the Community Paramedic Program $10,000 to help them serve the community.
