Funds Donated Help Operate Summer Camp for Local Children
In 2023, The Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation donated $1,500 to Oregon City Police Department (OCPD) for their summer camp program. OCPD hosted 30 children, ages 3rd through 5th grade. In addition, 13-15 high school counselors helped at the camp. During camp days, campers were able to see various presentations put on by: K-9, drones, SWAT, as well as Clackamas Fire District #1. Campers also were able to go bowling, go to Pats Acres, and Oaks Park. The children at camp were selected by teacher referrals from Oregon City grade schools. This camp provided these children fun-filled days and a positive experience, including some activities that some may not have been able to otherwise do. Funds gifted from the Foundation were used to help supplement the operating costs of this camp.
